Institutdysten - full degree participants
The battle of the institutes is a major social event for all students at SDU. Held every year on 'The Students' Day' - a day when the calendar is cleared from classes in favor of a day of sports and festivities.
At the battle of the institutes, SDU's institutes compete in volleyball, quiz, clubbs, dodgeball, tug-of-war, and the jocker game. There is also a quirky, fun, or different joker game on the program every year. The tournament traditionally concludes with the most important battle of them all: THE SOAPBOX RACE. Shortly after, the champion will be announced with their head prize.
Team sizes vary depending on the challenge – check our FAQ for the exact details.
**Participation in several tournaments cannot be accommodated. This does not apply to soap box races, as this tournament is held separately from the others and can therefore be selected as a secondary contest**
There will be food stalls, bars, all with student prices, and every year the Fun Area is packed with fun activities. All completely free to participate in both battles and festivities.
